New Construction

Habitat for Humanity of Hall County is dedicated to building decent and affordable homes.

Our homes are: single family with two to four bedrooms (depending on family size) and two baths. Homes are not only affordable to purchase, but also to maintain. We build energy efficient homes that typically have much lower power bills than homes built to standard residential building code.

Habitat promotes water conservation, energy efficiency, healthy indoor environments, and low impact development as part of our goal to be a responsible, sustainable, and affordable home builder. We recognize a strong link between affordable housing and green building.  We implement a comprehensive approach to building that considers an integrated design process, local site improvements, water conservation, energy efficiency, materials selection, indoor air quality, and other health considerations, all while recognizing the impacts of building practices on the larger environment

Energy Efficiency; To lower utility bills each home includes:

  • CFL light fixtures & bulbs
  • Energy Star rated appliances & ventilation fans (when available)
  • High Efficiency furnace & water heater

Water Conservation; To lower utility bills we install:

  • Low flow water fixtures & aerators
  • Low flow toilets

Indoor Air Quality; To ensure the interior of our homes are healthy we use:

  • Low VOC paints & adhesives
  • Formaldehyde Free Insulation

About Copper Glen Subdivision

Located in the southeast portion of Hall County, Georgia, Copper Glen is a small piece of a nature lover’s paradise.  Copper Glen is an unassuming subdivision that was generously donated to Habitat Hall for the development of 21 houses.  This property is stunning. It contains mature hardwoods, rippling creeks, myriad of wildlife, fresh air, fertile soil, generous 1+ acre lots, and plentiful green space.  When the subdivision is completed, around 2020, it will feature 21 homes and a community garden.
Houses are designed to accentuate the natural beauty of the landscape.  They are designed as cottages with modest wood and stone accents on the front.  Each of our houses is built green and is energy efficient.  Families can quite literally, breathe easier knowing their families are safe and healthy living in their new homes.
Copper Glen is in Hall County school district.
