History

Habitat for Humanity of Hall County was founded in 1989 by a group of concerned citizens who believed that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all. These founding members were dedicated to eliminating substandard housing through construction, rehabilitating, and preserving homes. An independent partner of Habitat for Humanity International, Habitat Hall County provides training and access to resources to help families improve their living conditions.

Core Values

Habitat is a hand-up, not a hand-out program, helping hard-working, low income families purchase their own home. This self-sufficiency builds self-reliance that spreads to work, family, and community life.
